IPTV TV, video on demand and information in care centre

System integrator Mansveld has been approached by St. Barbara to install an IPTV system for this new building. Mansveld turned to Intronics and found the perfect solution in Exterity. The challenge for Intronics was the delivery of an IPTV system which offers 25 tv channels to each client. In addition, video had to be available from the chapel for the clients who are not mobile.

Besides their furniture, clients also bring their own television tot the care centre. This means that the system had to be compatible with the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) principle, whereby both a digital and an analogue television can be connected.

The professionals of Intronics supervise the project up to and including commissioning. Installation is well prepared in such a way that the adjustments and possible expansions can be realized with minimal investment. The system can easily be kept up to date and expanded by the system integrator Mansveld. This way, transmitters can always be added. The Exterity IPTV system is suitable for the distribution of both analogue and digital audio/video sources. St. Barbara in Wijbosch is a nursing home for clients with dementia. The two residential wings, Vijverhof and Parklaan, each consist of six small-scale residential groups of eight residents. Activities and dinner are organised in the communal living rooms. Village centre De Schakel is also located in St. Barbara; a meeting place for the entire community of Wijbosch.
