HDMI cables
The HDMI standard has been substantially increased with the introduction of version 1.4. Nowadays, HDMI cables may not be fitted with a serial number, but have to be supplied with one of the following five logos. These indicate the specifications of the cable.
These five logos are:
 | HDMI standard - Standard cable with support up to 1080i/60 |
 | HDMI standard with Ethernet – standard cable with Ethernet |
 | HDMI High Speed – support up to 1080p, including Deep Color and all 3D formats of the 1.4 specification |
 | HDMI High Speed with Ethernet – high speed cable with Ethernet |
 | HDMI standard Automotive – HD content distribution in cars |
The standards above do not apply to HDMI adaptors.
